What to do, and what we do

Call us

(504) 810-4691. If water is coming in, we schedule an emergency tarp first and the inspection right after.

Inspection

We walk the roof and photograph every damaged area: lifted or missing shingles, flashing, vents, decking and gutters.

Itemized estimate

You get a written estimate with the scope and cost of each repair, with the photos, for your own records.

Repair

Permanent repairs scheduled as soon as materials and weather allow. Full replacement if the roof is beyond repair.

Hurricane season

Before the storm

A free inspection before hurricane season catches loose shingles, failed boots and clogged gutters while they are cheap to fix. Ask us about a pre-season check in May or June.

We give you our inspection photos and itemized estimate. What you do with your insurance company is your decision; we do not handle or advise on claims.

Signs of storm damage

  • Shingles in the yard or lifted tabs
  • Water stains on ceilings after rain
  • Dented vents, bent flashing or gutters pulled loose
  • Granules piled at the downspouts

Storm repairs

Until we get there

Protect your home after storm damage

  • Move furniture and electronics away from leaks and put buckets under drips
  • If a ceiling is bulging with water, keep people out of the room
  • Take photos of the damage inside and out, from the ground
  • Stay off the roof. Wet shingles and loose debris are dangerous

Our emergency tarp covers the damaged area until the permanent repair, so one storm does not turn into water damage inside the house.

Emergency roof repair

After a big storm, calls come in fast. Call early, tell us if water is coming in, and we put active leaks first.

Questions

Storm damage questions

How fast can you tarp my roof?

Often the same or next day, and active leaks come first. After a hurricane, call as early as you can.

How do I know if my roof has storm damage?

Look for shingles in the yard, lifted tabs, dented vents, loose gutters and new ceiling stains. If you are not sure, we inspect and photograph the roof for you.

Will you repair it or replace the whole roof?

Whichever the damage calls for. Many storms only need a repair. If the damage is widespread or the roof was already near the end of its life, we show you why a replacement makes sense.

Do you handle insurance claims?

No. We give you inspection photos and an itemized estimate for your records. Decisions about your insurance are yours.
